Nike’s Doernbecher Jordan Line

NIke continues to stay innovative while incorporating other brands through collaborations. These lines of shoes and apparel have been some of the best sellers in recent years. Nike has been doing collaboration with OSHU’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon since 2007  and the project has been nothing but amazing. Nike let the kids who are patients design limited edition sneakers that are sold and all the profits are given to the hospital. It is a great way for Nike to give back to the local community and help such a great cause.

As talked about previously with Nike Oregon Shoes  becoming an online sensation, these limited Doernbecher Nike’s are also highly sought after in the sneaker community. Since these shoes are limited, sneaker fanatics camp out for these rare shoes, or even pay large sums of money to purchase them on the secondary market. This campaign also benefits the kids due to the fact that it helps them forget about whatever illness they may be fighting and turns them into shoe designing superstars. It is a fantastic win-win situation for Nike the kids and the world. Everybody wins when supporting a campaign as powerful as this one.

Here are some images of the shoes designed by these amazing kids. Due to the fact that the world loves these shoes it will be exciting to see more projects like this from Nike in the future to help such a great cause.
